Get Involved

The Climate Crisis is overwhelming. If you are feeling anxious about the future, you are experiencing a rational response to the reality of climate change. Action is one antidote to climate anxiety, as many of the individuals involved with the local groups listed on our site can attest.

Volunteering

All of the organizations listed in our Directory are held together by the glue of volunteer efforts and we encourage you to contact a specific group if you are passionate about their activities.

Alternatively, the WR Climate Collaborative is developing a network of individual volunteers who may wish to offer their time or skills without belonging to any particular group.

Some examples of casual volunteering are: helping to organize an event, or just handing out signs at one; writing a letter, or helping with maintaining websites; staffing a table or booth at an event, or creating signs for rallies; fundraising or helping with social media; researching topics or knocking on doors to talk to people about climate change. And more…
