Climate Intersections: Climate, Reconciliation & Indigeneity

Grassroots Climate Community presents their inaugural conversation in the Climate Intersections Series. This virtual presentation is hosted by Kevin Gangel and features Norman Yak’e ula. Norman is the former National Chief of the Dene Nation, past Regional Chief for the Assembly of First Nations, and previously a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Northwest Territories!

The conversation will include perspectives from a 30,000 year oral history on land and people; the differences in language and definitions between Dene and English regarding what things like leadership and climate, and what they even mean; and “the gifts of all people” and what it means to “come together as a human family.”
